June 2021 is a special summer for Guangzhou people because COVID-19 was attacking this city. Medical personnel of Guangzhou Royallee Cancer Center rushed to the front line for anti-epidemic in this scorching weather.
They born the hardship of over 32℃ temperature, and completed three rounds of large-scale nucleic acid testing for Huangpu District.
Recently, Guangzhou Royallee Cancer Center has received two letters of thanks from the Huangpu District COVID-19 Prevention and Control Headquarter of Huangpu District People’s Government, and the Working Committed of Longhu Sub-district Office of Huangpu District People’s Government.
From the end of May to June this year, Guangzhou was attacked by the epidemic. The medical personnel of Guangzhou Royallee Cancer Center born the severe weather of continuous high temperature and rainfall to rushed to the front line of anti-epidemic, and completed three rounds of large-scale nucleic acid testing for Huangpu District, acting as escorts to protect the safety of the people.
They wore airtight and heavy protection suit from head to toe, and the whole body was soaked with sweat, but they still stayed in place and took samples over and over again without any complaint: wash hands with disinfectant, tear open the package to take out the disposable cotton swab, take the throat sampling for citizens lining up.
Although they worked day and night in such a difficult working environment, racing against time, they said that “It is worth to bring the citizens and the Guangzhou city back to the normal life no matter how hard it is.”
After nearly a month of hard work, the good news finally came that there is no more new local COVID-19 case and all moderate-and-high-risk areas were released, Guangzhou Royallee Cancer Center has made a strong contribution to the prevention and control of the epidemic in Guangzhou.
