Surgical oncology team captained by Director Wu Aiguo finished a modified radical mastectomy successfully on 28th September.
Director Wu said that modified radical mastectomy ensures a radical resection of the lesion and induces zero harm to pectoralis major and pectoralis minor, which secures the postoperative upper limb movement and breast reconstruction.

The first surgery for uterine adenosarcoma was a success Gynecology oncology captained by Director Luo Xiaoqin finished the first uterine adenosarcoma surgery successfully on 29th September. The intraoperative bleeding was less than 50 ml and postoperative indicators looked good.
Adenosarcoma is a tumor composed of benign epithelial and malignant mesenchymal tissues, accounting for 5% to 10% of all uterine sarcomas. Current treatment is mainly surgery coupled with endocrine therapy, chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy. And most low-grade adenosarcomas have a good prognosis (5-year survival rate of about 80%).
