The patient, Liu, had central type lung cancer, which had caused airway obstruction in the left and right main bronchi, leading to hypoxia and coma. On February 20, 2022, an emergency tracheobronchoscopic microwave ablation procedure was performed to open the airway. The procedure involved five hours of intensive efforts, including ablation, clamping, and balloon dilatation. After successful resuscitation, the patient did not undergo any anti-tumor treatment for a year and a half. Currently, the patient is in good health and has returned for a follow-up examination during this hospital admission.
